Questions About Insurance?

Trying to use Insurance?

Elevate Counseling Solutions currently does not accept insurance.  All sessions are considered “out of pocket” or “self-pay”.   If using your insurance is a necessity due to financial reasons or personal preference, we would be happy to provide a list of potential therapists that may accept your insurance.

Insurance Reimbursement

While Elevate Counseling Solutions does not insurance, we would be happy to provide you with an invoice, sometimes called a “Master Bill” or “Super Bill”, to submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement.  Please check with your insurance provider to see if a reimbursement plan is offered.  With this Master Bill, some insurance companies may reimburse a percentage of your out-of-pocket fees. Please note that not all insurance companies reimburse for out-of-network providers.

Another Note About Using Insurance

A majority of individuals choose to use their health insurance benefits for psychotherapy.  For many of these individuals, this may be their only option due to financial reasons or personal preference.

However, increasingly many others have begun to weigh the financial benefits compared with other concerns such as possibly jeopardizing their confidentiality.  Others sometimes have concerns about the potentially negative long-term implications of using these benefits.

For example, when you file a claim with an insurance company, you will be given a mental health diagnosis which is included in your permanent medical record.  In some cases, certain diagnoses may cause difficulty in your ability to acquire life insurance or disability insurance.

Furthermore, once a claim is submitted to an insurance provider, you lose some of your confidentiality as they will likely have information such as your dates of service, your treatment, and status of your progress.

It is always important to understand and be informed to the extent you feel is necessary in order to be comfortable and in control of your life.  Please do your research and consult with your insurance provider.
